Co-author: The Ultimate Guide Body
(Miles Kelly, 2016)

 


For learners 8+. I updated and restructured this previously published book. I created five new three-page features, including the use of acetate layers to reveal the inner workings of the body.

Author: Four 'Need to Know...' titles (Heinemann Library, 2004-2005)

 


I was sole author of these four books, part of a series written for teenagers and young adults to give clear non-patronising information about important diseases. I designed the layout and content of each book in line with the house style and provided all text, including sourcing real life case histories.

Author: Technology all around us - Medicine (Smart Apple Media, 2005)

 

I wrote this book as part of a series intended to encourage young teenagers, especially boys, to enjoy reading. It covered a wide range of interesting new technologies used within medicine today. I identified and researched suitable technologies, designed the layout of the book, based upon house style, and provided all text.​

Author: 21st Century Citizen - AIDS (Franklin Watts, 2004)

 

This book was part of a series for ages 11-14, focusing on social concerns, political problems and new scientific developments in a rapidly changing world. I provided all text to my own layout, based on house style.  This project required me to show sensitivity in handling controversial material, especially as it was intended for the US market as well.
